Since 2005 and under the moniker “Thot”, Grégoire Fray has been imprint-ting the industrial-rock scene with his own sonic personality: “vegetal noise music “, a term he invented for all of those who want to put a label on their food.
Having already remixed Nine Inch Nails, Carina Round, Justice, Depeche Mode and Amenra, his several albums ( The Huffed Hue in 2005, Obscured by the Wind in 2011), and EPs such as: Ortie in 2009, The Fall of the Water Towers in 2012, expand and augment these influences.
Over the last eight years, Thot have become an uncompromising live act, capable of electrified musical & visual performances. Thot have cultivated a strong and personal relationship with an ever-expanding fan’s community: The Vegetal Noise Lovers.
Through this network, fans are invited to creatively contribute to projects like videos or remixes.
Thot’s latest album, ‘The City That Disappears’ (mixed by Magnus Lindberg from Cult of Luna) was released on 14.04.2014 on Black Basset Records/White Leaves Music. Thot is currently working on a new album that will be released in 2017.
